Where Avada is stronger
- Price: free. If your entire need is "put a size chart on my product pages" and $0 matters, Avada does that job without a bill. We won't argue with free for a basic use case.
- Popularity and reviews. Avada's apps have large install and review bases. FitKit is new and hasn't earned that history yet.
- One vendor, many apps. Avada ships a broad suite (email, SEO, and more), with shared support and familiar UI across apps. If you already run other Avada apps, staying in that ecosystem is convenient.
Where FitKit is stronger
- Storefront weight you can measure. FitKit injects nothing at page load: the Size guide link is rendered by the theme block, the guide config lives in a metafield, and the modal script (4.8 KB gzipped) loads only when a visitor clicks. Zero network requests before the click, zero impact on Core Web Vitals — run Lighthouse before and after installing to check.
- Size recommendation. On the Pro plan, visitors enter 2–3 body measurements and FitKit matches them against the ranges in your own chart — instant, deterministic, no AI, and no visitor data leaves the page. That turns the chart from a reference table into an answer: "take the M."
- Analytics that close the loop. FitKit counts guide opens and the add-to-cart rate after opening, per product. You see which products' sizing confuses shoppers and whether the guide actually helps — data a free chart typically doesn't give you. (Honest note: we measure add-to-cart, not attributed revenue.)
- Precise assignment. Assign guides by product, tag, collection, vendor or globally with a documented priority order — useful the moment your catalog mixes brands or fits.
- Automatic units and languages. cm/inches switch with the right default per visitor locale, and EN/FR/DE/ES translations out of the box on Growth+.
Our honest verdict: if you need a basic size chart at zero cost — or you're already invested in the Avada suite — choose Avada Size Chart; free is a legitimate argument and the app is popular for a reason. If sizing is a real conversion and returns problem for your store, FitKit's recommender, per-product analytics, and zero-weight storefront are worth $6.99–$19.99/month. FitKit's Free plan covers one guide, so you can compare both on your own store at no cost.
